Are your products authentic?

We stand behind the authenticity of the products we sell 100%. Our vintage products are genuine and most were manufactured from the 1940's to the 1990's. We don’t sell replicas or reproductions. Our vintage products are NOS, or deadstock, and may show slight imperfections from years of storage. Imperfections will be noted on a product's detail page.

How much is shipping?

We offer free shipping for all domestic orders.

What types of packaging do you offer?

All eyewear will be packaged with a hard case and cleaning cloth. Occasionally, our vintage frames will ship with the original case and/or cleaning cloth. If an original case and cleaning cloth is available, it will be noted on a vintage item's product page.

What kind of lenses do you offer?

Some of the vintage eyewear/sunglasses we sell have their original lenses, and some are replacement lenses. Replacement lenses are UV and UVB protected.

What if I place an order for an item that is not available?

We strive to list for sale only items that are available for immediate shipping. If the item you purchased is not available for some reason, we’ll contact you immediately to arrange a refund or to help you find an alternative item to purchase.

What if I receive eyewear, sunglasses, or other merchandise that is defective?

Before returning anything to us, please send us an email to returns@hdvla.com and explain (with photos) what the problem is. If we determine that the problem is a result of a manufacturing defect, we will give you a return authorization number, and you can follow the return procedure outlined on our returns page. We will either repair your defective item, or exchange your item for a new one, if we have it in stock. If we don’t have it in stock, you have the option of selecting something else of the same value, or you can receive a full refund. We cannot accept returns of items which have been damaged through negligent use (for example, we cannot accept returns of an item that has been sat on or dropped).

I added prescription lenses to my order. How long until they are ready?

Prescription lenses are usually back from the lab and ready to ship in 3 to 5 business days.

How does eyewear sizing work?

While some of the frames we sell come in two or more sizes, a majority were only manufactured in one size. Sizes available are usually indicated on each product page if a frame has been measured. If not, please contact us and let us know the frame for which you are seeking sizing information.

Are the colors of your products accurately represented in your photographs?

We do our best to make sure our products are presented in a way that is accurate and true to the product. However, it should be noted that colors vary by monitor and what you see on one monitor may be different from another monitor. There's no way for us to guarantee color accuracy across the wide variety of devices used to access our website.
